As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in collaborating with development and product teams to create and execute comprehensive testing strategies. You will advocate for Quality Engineering (QE) principles, emphasizing early testing, customer focus, automation, and continuous enhancement to streamline product development. Your efforts will drive the establishment and integration of automated testing practices to foster innovation, ensure quality, and accelerate time-to-market. In this capacity, you will function as a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) while working alongside internal development teams to facilitate their transition from traditional to agile methodologies.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Education and Experience

Required:

  • Over 5 years of experience in software development and testing, with advanced knowledge of various testing methodologies.
  • More than 5 years of experience collaborating with technical architecture, engineering, and operations teams to drive outcomes through QE automation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, coupled with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in guiding the implementation of Behavior-Driven Development (BDD), Test-Driven Development (TDD), and similar software development practices.
  • Proven expertise in modern programming languages and frameworks.
  • Familiarity with Test Automation, Performance Testing, and DevSecOps tools (e.g., Git, JIRA, Ant, Maven, Jenkins).
  • A bachelor's degree in engineering or computer science, or equivalent experience/certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant technical certifications (e.g., PMP, CSTE, CSQA, Certified SAFe 5.x).
  • In-depth knowledge of emerging tools, software, applications, and systems to achieve best-in-class IT technology across the organization.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Demonstrated capability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse teams.

  • Mentors and guides product team members on QE processes and best practices.
  • Operates as a hands-on SDET when necessary.
  • Assists in establishing quality standards and procedures.
  • Reviews and refines product documentation.
  • Promotes the adoption of TDD, BDD, and related test-first development methodologies.

Delivering Technology

  • Conducts complex quantitative and qualitative analyses to enhance automated testing processes and tools.
  • Implements tools such as Tosca, JMeter, NeoLoad, Cucumber, Selenium, etc.
  • Validates solutions in collaboration with the enterprise architecture team.
  • Ensures that service providers meet their expected deliverables and obligations.
  • Coordinates effectively with IT and vendor teams.
  • Collaborates with Operations and Infrastructure teams for deployment and production support.
