Job Title: Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to ensure the quality and reliability of our software products.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, integrate, develop test cases, scripts, and execute comprehensive testing to ensure adequate coverage and quality assurance.

Schedule and lead test deliverables review sessions as necessary to ensure alignment with project objectives.

Work as a key member of multiple projects/systems, serving as a subject matter expert for a single project/system, particularly those of moderate to high complexity within various development environments.

Collaborate closely with Business Systems Analysts (BSA) and Development teams to analyze and review business objectives and requirements, ensuring they are testable and aligned with project goals.

Actively participate in the review of architectural and technical design specifications to identify potential areas for improvement or optimization.

Develop, document, and maintain test data, data validation procedures, and end-to-end testing flows to ensure thorough testing coverage.

Utilize both manual and automated testing processes, including conducting testing using HNB manual and/or automated test processes, and report results accurately.

Run database queries as necessary to validate data within test scripts and ensure data integrity.

Update test cases based on approved change requests and collaborate with BSAs and Development teams on defect analysis and triage.

Manage defects throughout the project lifecycle, assigning severity levels and working with colleagues and project managers to ensure timely resolution.

Create and maintain test status reports, test results, and test summary deliverables to assess production implementation readiness and track progress.

Facilitate the review of the Test Strategy with the project team to ensure alignment with project objectives and requirements.

Identify and escalate potential quality issues per defined processes, ensuring prompt resolution by management.

Collect testing sign-off from all relevant stakeholders, including cross-impacted application teams, to ensure comprehensive testing coverage.

Ensure all aspects of testing, including manual execution, regression, automation, and performance testing, are completed effectively.

Collaborate with the Project Test Lead to estimate test efforts accurately and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) efforts as needed.

Maintain the regression test bed to accommodate changing requirements and participate in off-hour production releases as necessary.

Provide support during the project's warranty period as needed, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in addressing emerging issues.

Work under moderate supervision with some latitude for independent judgment and problem-solving, adhering to the project lifecycle methodology consistently.

Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members as needed, fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

Proven experience in software testing methodologies, including test planning, execution, and analysis.

Strong understanding of development environments, architectural and technical design specifications.

Proficiency in scripting languages and automation tools.

Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities.

Prior experience in mentoring junior team members is a plus.

Familiarity with project lifecycle methodologies and quality assurance best practices.
