As an enthusiastic and skilled Ranger, you will play a vital role in the stewardship and management of the Bogong High Plains within the Alpine National Park.

Role Overview:

In your capacity as a Ranger, you will leverage your expertise to safeguard, manage, and enhance park values and resources, ensuring exceptional visitor experiences while protecting biodiversity. Working alongside a dedicated team, you will oversee an area featuring campgrounds and a comprehensive network of visitor facilities, including walking paths, roads, 4WD routes, and remote camping sites that attract numerous visitors annually. Your responsibilities will also encompass managing invasive species, maintaining native vegetation, collaborating with Traditional Owners, handling fire and emergency situations, engaging with visitors, and ensuring compliance with regulations.

Qualifications and Skills:

A relevant degree or substantial experience in natural resource management, coupled with a genuine passion for the environment. Proficiency in operating safely in alpine terrains and applying practical skills to address challenges and maintain park assets. Strong motivation, excellent communication abilities, and a genuine enthusiasm for interacting with the community and park visitors.
