As an Alpine Conservation Ranger, you will engage in a variety of responsibilities aimed at the stewardship and management of the Bogong High Plains within the Alpine National Park.

Key Responsibilities:

Participate in a diverse range of fieldwork and project initiatives within the distinctive landscape of Australia's alpine ecosystem. Role Overview:

In this role, you will leverage your expertise to safeguard, manage, and enhance park values and resources, ensuring exceptional visitor experiences while protecting biodiversity. Working as part of a dedicated team, you will oversee an area featuring campgrounds and a comprehensive network of visitor facilities, walking paths, roads, 4WD tracks, and remote camping sites that attract numerous visitors annually. Your duties will also encompass managing invasive species, preserving native vegetation, engaging with Traditional Owners, and handling fire and emergency protocols, as well as visitor interactions and compliance measures.

Ideal Candidate:

Possesses a relevant tertiary qualification and/or experience in natural resource management, coupled with a genuine passion for the natural environment. Demonstrates the ability to operate safely and effectively in alpine settings, utilizing practical skills to address challenges and maintain park assets. Exhibits strong motivation, excellent communication skills, and a genuine enthusiasm for engaging with the community and park visitors.
