We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our team as a Clinical Educator in Family Medicine. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, teaching, and mentoring to students and healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities- Provide primary patient care to adults with acute minor illnesses and chronic stabilized illnesses
- Conduct health assessments, plan, teach, counsel, and manage preventative medicine clinics
- Supervise medical and nursing staff assigned to the clinic
- Develop and implement educational programs for students and healthcare professionals
- Collaborate with the clinic and center staff to provide excellent patient care and service
- Master's Degree in Nursing
- Completion of an ANA-approved Nurse Practitioner program with national certification
- Louisiana licensure to practice professional nursing plus recognition or licensure by the State Board of Nursing as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse
- One year of full-time professional clinical nurse experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient computer skills; working knowledge of Microsoft Office software applications
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to implement the philosophy and objectives of the program
- Ability to make comprehensive accurate assessments and decisions and plan care in accordance with assessments
