About the Position:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Civil Engineer I to join our public works team at ZipRecruiter. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on a variety of projects related to sewer systems, streets, curbs, sidewalks, and traffic engineering.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with our team to design, develop, and implement public works projects.
  • Making surveys, computing centerlines and grades, and inspecting materials and works to ensure quality control.
  • Performing office computations from field notes, preparing reports, and keeping engineering records to maintain accurate project documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field.
  • One year of practical professional engineering experience.
  • Valid Connecticut Driver's License (may be required).
  • Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices.

Salary: $70,000 - $90,000 per year, based on experience.
