Key Responsibilities:
Safety First. Actively prioritize safety for yourself and your colleagues, adhering to all safety protocols and environmental regulations.
Maintenance and Repair of Equipment. Conduct servicing, repairs, adjustments, and testing of Concrete Ready Mix Trucks and related machinery. Perform routine preventative maintenance including lubrication, adjustments, failure analysis, and corrective repairs. Handle repairs on hydraulic systems, lighting, brakes, suspension, and air conditioning. Ensure a clean and organized workspace.
Equipment Inspection. Carry out inspections on all mobile equipment to identify and troubleshoot issues. Diagnose defects and perform necessary repairs.
Documentation. Generate work orders for all repairs and services, ensuring clear and accurate records of all tasks performed.
Effective Communication. Collaborate with team members to ensure safe and effective vehicle maintenance practices.
Utilization of Tools. Employ various tools and equipment, including cutting torches, air and hand tools, jacks, grinders, and drill presses.
Physical Demands. Engage in physical activities requiring full body movement and significant use of arms and legs, including climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials.
Additional Duties. Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
Essential Skills:
Experience. Previous experience in mechanical maintenance is preferred.
Certifications. MED HVY Truck ASE Certification is advantageous.
Communication Abilities. Ability to read memos and instructions, and effectively communicate with colleagues to resolve issues.
Basic Math Competence. Proficiency in basic arithmetic and understanding of measurement units.
Adaptability. Willingness to work overtime and extended hours based on business needs. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and tolerate exposure to loud environments.
