As a Registered Nurse at CAMC Health System, you will have the opportunity to demonstrate your clinical skills and utilize critical thinking to identify and meet patient needs. You will be responsible for achieving positive patient outcomes through group process and displaying leadership traits that contribute to attainment of patient and departmental goals. Additionally, you will assist with unit QI/research projects and identify actual legal/ethical issues and implement appropriate nursing actions.
Responsibilities- Patient Care: You will demonstrate consistent use of the nursing process in daily practice and manage more complex patients with minimal assistance.
- Knowledge and Skills: You will identify personal learning needs to be competent in your area of practice, independently perform advanced skills, and begin to assist others to develop skills using the teaching/learning process.
- Professional Relationships/Leadership: You will initiate and effectively demonstrate behaviors which result in positive patient outcomes through group process and identify the need to change your own practice based on PI/QI outcomes.
- Quality Improvement/Research: You will expand your understanding of the research process and its specific application to nursing practice.
Patient Group Knowledge: You must possess/obtain (by the end of the orientation period) and demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide developmentally appropriate assessment, treatment or care as defined by the department's identified patient ages. Specifically, you must be able to demonstrate competency in:
- Ability to obtain and interpret information in terms of patient needs.
- Knowledge of growth and development.
- Understanding of the range of treatment needed by patients.
Common Duties and Responsibilities: You will maintain and document all applicable required education, demonstrate positive customer service and co-worker relations, comply with the company's attendance policy, participate in the continuous, quality improvement activities of the department and institution, perform work in a cost-effective manner, and follow organizational and departmental policies and procedures.
EducationYou must have an Associate's Degree (Required) and 1 Year of RN experience. Substitution: May substitute Formal Nursing Program for the Associate Degree.
CredentialsYou must have a Registered Nurse (Required) and Basic Life Support (Required) Within 30 days of hire.
