Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant I Certified to provide clinical and administrative support to our healthcare team in an outpatient clinic setting. As a Medical Assistant I Certified, you will work under the supervision of a licensed provider to deliver high-quality patient care and support the day-to-day operations of our clinic.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine clinical and administrative tasks, including rooming patients, collecting vital signs, and documenting patient information.
  • Assist licensed providers with patient care activities, such as treatments, examinations, and procedures.
  • Collect and process patient specimens, including blood samples and other laboratory tests.
  • Administer medications and perform other tasks as directed by licensed providers.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical history, allergies, and medication lists.
  • Provide exceptional patient care and support, including answering questions, addressing concerns, and providing education on health and wellness.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare team members to ensure seamless patient care and efficient clinic operations.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Medical Assistant certification by a recognized accrediting agency, such as the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or the National Health Career Association (CCMA).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross (ARC).
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a Medical Assisting program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or the Accreditation Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a medical assisting role, preferably in an outpatient clinic setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
