Electric Distribution Specialist

Mountain Parks Electric, Inc. is a dynamic distribution cooperative seeking experienced professionals for the role of Electric Distribution Specialist in our Walden and Kremmling, Colorado locations.

Salary: $59,440 per year

The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the reliability and safety of our electric distribution system by troubleshooting, maintaining, and restoring service in a timely and efficient manner.

Responsibilities will include responding to, investigating, and/or repairing service interruptions to ensure prompt restoration of service, as well as evaluating the cause of the interruption to prevent future issues and provide continued reliability.

Key duties will involve diagnosing and troubleshooting issues within our system, including substations, overhead and underground lines, transformers, and other equipment, and performing switching operations to isolate and de-energize faulty sections of the system and restore power to affected areas.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Journeyman lineman with 3 years of closely related and progressive job experience
• Thorough understanding of electric distribution systems
• Valid Colorado Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
• Reside within a 45-minute response time of service area center
