Flexible Pediatric RN Position

This role is for a Registered Nurse specializing in pediatrics, focusing on a Per Diem employment structure. The position involves working within the Pediatric Float Pool, which encompasses various units including Pediatric Stepdown and Pediatric Surgical.
Certification Requirements- Special Equipment: Ceiling lifts available in select rooms.
- Medication System: Utilization of Omnicell.
- Patient Age Group: Care for Neonates, Infants, Pediatrics, and Adolescents.
- Specialty: Registered Nurse.
- Employment Type: Per Diem.
- Patient Diagnosis: Management of children with complex health conditions, including but not limited to neurosurgical, neurology, respiratory, endocrine, nephrology, orthopedic, general surgical, and cardiac issues.
- Orientation: Rolling start dates with a maximum of 2 candidates per orientation session. One day of orientation (12 hours total) will be divided into 4-hour segments across three units.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year in an inpatient pediatric setting (new graduates are not eligible).
- Required Certifications: AHA BLS and AHA PALS (RQI not accepted).
- Essential Requirement: Ventilator experience is mandatory.
- Flexibility: Willingness to float to similar or less complex units as needed.
- Specific Skills: Experience in Tracheostomy care, Ventilator Management, dialysis, total care, spinal fusions, and lumbar drains.
- Shift Details: 12-hour shifts.
- Expectation: RNs are expected to pick up shifts immediately following the completion of orientation.
- COVID-19 Vaccination: Strongly recommended for all staff (Dose 1 & Dose 2 if applicable). Unvaccinated individuals must adhere to facility guidelines.
