Shift: Full-time

This role is responsible for conducting regular patrols on foot and by vehicle across properties managed by Indiana University Health. The officer will respond to service requests and enforce institutional rules, regulations, and policies.

The position requires providing guidance and support to staff, visitors, and patients, particularly in de-escalating challenging and emotional situations. Investigating incidents of criminal activity and vehicular accidents as necessary is also part of the duties.

Record-keeping and report writing are essential components of this role, along with performing security screenings as required. The officer plays a crucial role in fostering a secure healthcare environment for all stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED is mandatory; an Associate's Degree is preferred.
  • 0-3 years of relevant experience is required.
  • A valid, non-restricted Indiana Driver's License is necessary.
  • No felony, domestic violence, or violent misdemeanor convictions are permitted.
  • Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment background check, drug screening, and psychological evaluation is essential.
  • Proficiency in computer usage and familiarity with various software applications is required.
