Archeological Field Specialist

Job Summary
As an Archeological Technician with the U.S. Department of the Interior, you will assist professional cultural resource specialists with field studies to identify cultural, historical, and paleontological resources. This role involves designing and conducting inventories, compiling and interpreting data, and researching reference materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the design and implementation of cultural resource field inventories
- Compile and interpret data from inventories, including research and analysis of reference materials
- Conduct research and gather information on cultural, historical, and paleontological resources
- Prepare reports and documents for determinations of eligibility to the National Register of Historic Places
- Collaborate with other professionals to identify and document cultural resources
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship is required
- This is a bargaining unit position
- Must be able to work in a team environment
Working Conditions
This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to adapt to changing priorities. The selected candidate will be required to pass a background investigation and undergo a physical examination prior to appointment.
