ProMedica Health System is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Sonographer to join our team. As a Diagnostic Sonographer, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.
Key Responsibilities:- Operate ultrasound equipment to perform various tests and procedures, following established protocols and guidelines.
- Prepare patients for examinations, explain procedures, and ensure their comfort and safety throughout the process.
- Recognize and differentiate between normal and pathological processes, as well as electronic equipment limitations, to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
- Clean and maintain equipment, as well as review journals and attend conferences to stay up-to-date on the latest techniques and procedures.
- Assist in other areas of the practice as needed, and participate in staff meetings to contribute to the team's success.
- High school diploma or equivalent with a business emphasis.
- Completion of an approved school of diagnostic ultrasound or equivalent experience accepted by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers.
- Strong commitment to customer service and effective interpersonal skills.
- Ability to input and retrieve information from a computer, as well as operate ultrasound equipment.
- Occasional lifting and carrying of light equipment and supplies.
