Diagnostic Sonographer

At ProMedica Health System, we are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Sonographer to join our team. As a Diagnostic Sonographer, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

• Operate ultrasound equipment to perform various tests and procedures, following established protocols and guidelines.
• Prepare patients for examinations, explain procedures, and ensure their comfort and safety throughout the process.
• Recognize and differentiate between normal and pathological processes, as well as electronic equipment limitations, to produce accurate and diagnostic images.
• Clean and maintain equipment, as well as review journals and attend conferences to stay up-to-date with the latest techniques and procedures.
• Assist in other areas of the practice as needed, participate in staff meetings, and perform other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent with a business emphasis.
• Attendance at an approved school of diagnostic ultrasound or equivalent experience accepted by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers.
• Strong commitment to customer service, effective interpersonal skills, and ability to input and retrieve information from a computer.
• Ability to operate ultrasound equipment and occasionally lift and carry light equipment and supplies.
