Job Summary

Live Nation Entertainment is seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Dining Room Host to join our team at the House of Blues. As a Dining Room Host, you will be responsible for providing exceptional guest service, ensuring a seamless dining experience, and maintaining a clean and organized environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet guests promptly and courteously, ensuring a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
  • Control the flow of guests, managing wait times and ensuring a smooth dining experience.
  • Anticipate and respond to guest needs, providing personalized service and exceeding expectations.
  • Direct guests to their tables, ensuring a timely and efficient seating process.
  • Estimate and quote accurate wait times, keeping guests informed and engaged.
  • Lead guests to their tables, placing menus and ensuring a comfortable dining experience.
  • Market current and future shows, menu items, and retail by placing marketing literature on dining tables.
  • Properly answer guest questions regarding the menu, music hall, and artists appearing at the House.
  • Manage the Foundation access list, industry access, and dinner reservation sheets for the evening.
  • Pick up guest lists for special events and handle concert tickets and signature sheets.
  • Obtain Production sheets for the current night and current member and spouse lists.
  • Check foundation membership cards and photo IDs, adhering to the HOB dress code policy.
  • Hand out wristbands and/or opera box passes, thanking each guest for visiting the House and inviting them to return.
  • Develop knowledge of House of Blues-related art, music, and history, adhering to the HOB Hospitality Zone.
  • Communicate with other support departments, ensuring a seamless and efficient service.
  • Maintain a clean and organized host area, ensuring a safe and healthy environment.
  • Assist other departments as needed, demonstrating a team-oriented approach.

  • Appearance: Maintain a professional and well-groomed appearance at all times.
  • Punctuality/Attendance: Ensure timely arrival and attendance, adhering to scheduled shifts.
  • Attitude/Teamwork: Demonstrate a positive and team-oriented attitude, working collaboratively with colleagues.
  • Job Skills/Knowledge/Productivity: Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Adherence to Policy: Comply with all company policies and procedures, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Sanitation and Safety: Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to sanitation and safety standards.
  • Guest Satisfaction: Provide exceptional guest service, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable dining experience.
  • Communications: Possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with guests and colleagues.
  • State or County Licensee or Certification Requirement: Possess a valid state or county license or certification, as required by law.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Point of Sales knowledge, preferably MICROS.
  • Previous experience handling VIP customers.
  • Previous Customer Service/Host experience.
  • Skills in interpersonal communication and teamwork.
Working Environment

The working environment is fast-paced, with extended periods of prolonged standing and working on your feet. The position requires the ability to lift or move up to 25 lbs using proper lifting techniques.
