About the Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Clinical Nurse Coordinator to join our Surgical Unit team at Portsmouth Regional Hospital. This role offers a unique opportunity for growth and development in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

As a Clinical Nurse Coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring high-quality patient care and coordinating all functions in the unit during your designated shift. In collaboration with other members of the management team, you will direct, monitor, and evaluate nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures.

About the Position

  • Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high-quality patient-centered care.
  • Participate in the ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in the unit, in collaboration with other members of the management team.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and other managers to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service.
  • Support a patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary.
  • Support the efforts of the facility to improve engagement by operationalizing current nursing strategies, including employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives.

What You Will Need

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
  • Registered Nurse.
  • Associate Degree.
