The Associate Nurse Executive (ANE) for Community-Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs) plays a pivotal role in overseeing nursing services within primary care at the Veterans Health Administration. This leadership position is essential for ensuring high-quality nursing care is delivered effectively across all affiliated clinics.

This opportunity is available to fully licensed Registered Nurses who meet the qualifications for the Nurse IV level.
Key Responsibilities
The CBOC ANE is an integral member of the multidisciplinary leadership team, dedicated to enhancing the Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT) model of care. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Strategically implementing, organizing, and improving nursing services within Primary Care, utilizing the PACT model. This encompasses additional services such as Women's Health, Spinal Cord Injury (SCI), Whole Health, and Toxic Exposure Screening.
- Providing expert guidance in practice management, focusing on team-based PACT strategies to enhance access, promote roles, and improve patient experiences.
- Collaborating with various disciplines to expand specialty services within CBOCs, ensuring comprehensive access to care.
- Utilizing data analytics to guide population health management and improve care delivery outcomes.
- Leading and participating in leadership retreats to foster collaboration and strategic planning.
- Influencing organizational goals and healthcare outcomes, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and performance metrics.
- Engaging in accreditation processes and maintaining readiness for regulatory reviews.
- Conducting regular visits to CBOCs to maintain a visible leadership presence and ensure staff engagement.
- Setting priorities and preparing work schedules for nursing staff.
- Evaluating staff performance and addressing conduct issues.
- Collaborating with Human Resources on recruitment and retention strategies.
- Providing mentorship and professional development opportunities for nursing staff.
- Participating in resource management discussions to support clinic operations.
- Other duties as assigned.

Work Schedule
This position typically follows a Monday through Friday schedule.
Conditions of Employment

Physical Requirements
