Job Title: Registered Nurse

Job Summary:
As a Registered Nurse at Prisma Health, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our patients and their families. We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate nurse to join our team in the Acute Inpatient setting. In this role, you will provide clinical direction for all aspects of patient care, fostering a patient-centered approach that prioritizes the unique needs and goals of each individual. You will work collaboratively with the healthcare team to develop and implement evidence-based care plans, ensuring that our patients receive the highest quality care possible.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assessment: Collect and analyze data to inform nursing assessments, identifying priorities for the interdisciplinary plan of care and validating these priorities with the healthcare team.
  • Planning & Outcomes: Develop individualized plans of care that reflect current evidence-based practice, addressing the assessed needs of the patient and family, and ensuring continuity of care.
  • Implementation: Provide direct care to assigned patients, consistent with the established plan of care and identified patient priorities, and delegate tasks as appropriate to members of the healthcare team.
  • Evaluation: Evaluate the effectiveness of the plan of care, document progress toward expected outcomes, and revise the plan as needed.
  • Patient/Family Education/Teaching: Identify and assess patient/family learning needs, teaching accordingly, and communicating the patient's need for education/teaching to others in the healthcare continuum.
  • Professional Accountability: Evaluate your own nursing practice in relation to professional practice standard guidelines, state statutes, policies, procedures, rules/regulations, and current specific knowledge, and take personal accountability for maintaining competency through education and professional activities.

Supervisory/Management Responsibility:
This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director, or executive.

Minimum Requirements:
Associate's Degree - Nursing, One year of experience in Nursing as a Registered Nurse, SC Licensed RN - Registered Nurse. In lieu of 1 year of registered nurse experience, will accept successful completion of the Prisma Health Nurse Residency Program.

Other Required Skills and Experience:
Basic Computer Skills, Mathematical Skills, Patient Equip (Suction, Vitals, Defib).
