About the Role

Performance Columbus is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team. As an Accounting Clerk, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Log and process payoff checks in a timely manner
  • Verify and ensure payoff checks are cashed
  • Follow up with banks on payoff lien releases and titles
  • Apply for duplicate titles when necessary
  • Ensure proper paperwork is in place for title transfers
  • Process payoff shortage checks
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date payoff schedules
Requirements
  • Comprehensive understanding of general ledger accounts and ability to post documents accurately
  • Ability to reconcile accounts and pay sheets
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Previous automotive accounting experience is preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and Excel
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
