Job Title: Clinician-Educator in Gastroenterology and Hepatology
Job Summary:
The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) is seeking a clinician-educator with expertise in Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) to join our Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology. This position will have clinical responsibilities in both inpatient and outpatient services, with academic rank commensurate with experience.
Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical care to patients with IBD and other gastrointestinal disorders
- Teach and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows in gastroenterology and hepatology
- Contribute to the development and implementation of educational programs and curricula
- Participate in research and quality improvement initiatives
Requirements:
- MD or MD/PhD board certified (or board eligible) in Gastroenterology and Hepatology
- Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Computer literacy and ability to learn new systems and technologies
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to maintain a valid driver's license
- Ability to work rotating shifts and overtime as required
