Job Title: Client Support Worker

Job Summary:

GeorgiaGov is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Client Support Worker to join our team at the Community Integration Home (CIH) in Savannah, Georgia. As a Client Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing support and guidance to residents with special needs, helping them to develop essential life skills and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist residents with daily living activities, such as meal preparation, personal care, and household chores.
  • Monitor and record resident behavior, providing feedback and guidance to help them manage their emotions and develop healthy coping mechanisms.
  • Develop and implement individualized plans to support residents in achieving their goals and objectives.
  • Provide training and education to residents on basic personal and social skills, simple academics, and work skills.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure that residents receive comprehensive and coordinated care.
  • Participate in case reviews and consultations to evaluate resident needs and plan for continuing services.
  • Perform housekeeping duties, such as cleaning, laundry, and running errands.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records of resident progress and services provided.
  • Provide transportation for residents to appointments and activities.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or higher in a related field preferred.
  • One year of experience providing social or direct care services to groups of special needs individuals in a human services setting.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn new software applications.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and multidisciplinary team members.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working in a residential home or healthcare facility.
  • Knowledge of behavioral health principles and practices.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
