Key Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities of the Laboratory Manager will include:
- Management and curation of laboratory databases, which encompasses data entry, verification, and documentation across various datasets including field and laboratory data (30%).
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations within the laboratory environment (20%).
- Supporting daily laboratory and field activities, such as procurement of supplies, package shipping, and preparation of sampling materials (20%).
- Assisting with regulatory compliance and reporting for animal care and wildlife management (20%).
Additional responsibilities may include:
- Conducting molecular biology techniques for pathogen sample analysis.
- Culturing and maintaining fungal specimens.
- Participating in field research activities (10%).
