Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Electronics Assembler to join our team at Kelco Industries. As an Electronics Assembler, you will be responsible for assembling protection, communication, and control devices, such as switches, relays, solenoids, and control systems, as laid out in drawings and wiring diagrams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble parts according to prints and router, including electronic components, gears, wound coils, terminals, and switches.
  • Route wires, cut, and solder wires to connect electrical units using hand tools and various soldering techniques.
  • Inspect and test wire assemblies using an ohmmeter or resistance tester to test connections for resistance, shorts, and grounds.
  • Adjust contacts, stakes units, adjust springs, and shafts to meet specifications.
  • Maintain production reports, track, and identify component status.
  • Perform detail painting and/or engraving of parts as needed.
Requirements
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Assist with systems based on Lean principles and practices to meet or exceed the requirements of the established QMS and all other standards required to serve our target markets.
  • Knowledge of the Quality Management System policies, goals, and objectives after training.

Education/Experience Requirements
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of work experience within a manufacturing setting servicing electronics component, industrial, and aerospace markets.
