Transportation Specialist

We are seeking a Transportation Specialist to join our team at Student Transportation of America. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for safely transporting students to and from school along established routes.
The ideal candidate will have a clean driving record, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Beyond the daily tasks, you will play a vital role in maintaining a positive company image by adhering to our safety standards and performing regular vehicle inspections.
Responsibilities:
- Drive a school bus route, picking up and dropping off student passengers at designated stops.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safe operation.
- Attend monthly safety meetings to stay updated on company policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Must be 21 years or older.
- Must have a minimum of 5 years verifiable driving history.
- Clean driving record within the last 24-36 months.
- Ability and willingness to obtain a CDL.
- Complete comprehensive training program.
- Pre-employment background checks.
Compensation: The estimated salary for this position is $25.11 per hour, based on industry standards and location in Monroe, CT.
