About the Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Critical Care Specialist to join our team at PennState Health. As a critical care nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the delivery of exceptional healthcare services.

Job Summary:

The Critical Care Specialist will be responsible for assessing patient health problems and needs, developing and implementing nursing care plans, and maintaining accurate medical records. You will work closely with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless communication and collaboration in delivering patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess patient health problems and needs, develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records, including administering medications and monitoring reactions
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure effective communication and delivery of patient care
  • Monitor and record symptoms or changes in patients' conditions, reporting as necessary

Requirements:

  • CURRENTLY LICENSED TO PRACTICE AS A REGISTERED NURSE BY THE STATE OF EMPLOYMENT OR HOLDS A MULTISTATE RN LICENSE THROUGH THE INTERSTATE NURSE LICENSURE COMPACT REQUIRED
  • BLS REQUIRED PRIOR TO ORIENTATION COMPLETION
  • PREFERRED QUALIFICATION: BACHELOR'S DEGREE IN NURSING
