About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team at the Boston University School of Dental Medicine Clinical Affairs. As a key member of our dental team, you will play a vital role in promoting optimal oral health for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect and review patient medical history, identifying contraindications and requesting medical clearance as necessary.
  • Perform oral cancer screenings and periodontal assessments, charting dental findings.
  • Practice infection control by maintaining a sterile environment and inspecting instruments for sterility.
  • Provide clinical services, including exposing radiographs, performing dental cleanings, and administering therapeutic agents.
  • Offer patient education on oral hygiene and review treatment plans.
  • Assist the front desk with confirmation calls, send reminder cards, and order hygiene supplies.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Vocational/Associate's Degree Required, Bachelor's Degree Preferred.
  • 1-3 years of work experience in a dental hygiene setting.
