Job Title: Canvassing Field Manager

MOSES Action seeks an experienced Canvassing Field Manager to lead our field operations for deep canvassing regarding our issues platform and mobilize support in the upcoming Primary and General elections.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive field strategy to maximize voter outreach, engagement, and turnout.
  • Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of the field campaign, including staff and volunteer activities.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise field staff and volunteers, ensuring they have the necessary tools and resources.
  • Coordinate door-to-door canvassing, phone banking, and other voter outreach efforts.
  • Monitor and analyze campaign data to evaluate the effectiveness of field strategies and make adjustments as needed.
  • Establish relationships with partner organizations to coordinate and build support for MOSES Action's fieldwork and issue campaigns.
  • Ensure compliance with all campaign finance laws and reporting requirements.
  • Manage the budget for field operations, including allocations for staff, materials, and events.
  • Report regularly to the Executive Director and Lead Organizer on progress towards goals and any challenges encountered.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in political science, communications, or related field; relevant experience may substitute for education.
  • At least three years of experience in political or grassroots campaigns, with a proven track record in managing field operations.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and mobilize diverse groups of people.
  • Excellent organizational and strategic planning abilities, with a detail-oriented approach.
  • Some proficiency in VAN, EveryAction, Mobilize, canvassing, and relational organizing apps.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and negotiate effectively.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to work long hours, including evenings and weekends, especially as the election approaches.
