Nuclear Medicine Technologist Job Description

At Johns Hopkins Health System, we are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the advancement of medical imaging technology.

Responsibilities:
  • Procure, prepare, and administer radiopharmaceuticals safely and effectively.
  • Operate radiation detection devices and ionizing radiation equipment in accordance with federal, state, and institutional regulations.
  • Perform transmission imaging procedures, including gamma camera operation and diagnostic CT scans.
  • Assist in cardiac stress testing procedures and position patients for imaging.
  • Review images to ensure diagnostic quality and accuracy.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in nuclear medicine or a related field.
  • One year of experience in nuclear medicine or a related field.
  • Registered by NMTCB as a CNMT or Registered by ARRT in nuclear medicine.
  • Current nuclear medicine technologist licensure in Washington, D.C.
  • CPR certification.
