Job Overview

Custom Paper Tubes is seeking a skilled Machine Builder and Fabricator to join our team. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for maintaining and upgrading production equipment and tooling using your mechanical and electrical skills.

This is a full-time position that offers a competitive starting wage of $23.00/hour, based on experience, with opportunities for performance-based increases. We provide excellent benefits, including health, dental, vision, life, disability, paid holidays, vacation, and sick leave, as well as a 401(k) with a company match.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and upgrade production equipment and tooling using mechanical and electrical skills
  • Use lathe and milling skills to fabricate custom tooling or parts
  • Create prints, drawings, and schematics as needed
  • Monitor and maintain facilities and machine performance through preventative maintenance duties
  • Research and order parts as needed

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in manufacturing equipment maintenance or machine building
  • Proficiency in using precision measuring equipment
  • Strong math skills and ability to reverse engineer from a sample part
  • Able to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues
  • Effectively and safely operate manual lathe, mill, and other equipment/tools
  • Must be able to stand, reach, sit, and squat up to 10 hours per day
