Position Overview

Shepard Exposition Services is in search of an Event Space Layout Specialist who will deliver expert drafting skills for the configuration and design of exhibition spaces and lobby areas, both regionally and nationally.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with Sales, Account Managers, and Clients to produce precise and compliant layout plans that adhere to venue regulations.
  • Leverage our online platform to coordinate with Account Managers and Clients on layout requests.
  • Stay informed about the latest fire safety regulations and compliance standards.
  • Prepare layout plans for fire safety submissions to secure necessary approvals.
  • Assist the team in maintaining the digital library of DWG's/PDF's for venue layouts.
  • Design electrical and rigging schematics as required for event setup.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven ability to operate effectively in a dynamic environment, both independently and in collaboration with various departments.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD is essential; experience with ExpoCad Contractor is a plus.
  • Completion of a recognized drafting program is preferred.
  • Familiarity with convention fire codes and permitting procedures is advantageous.
  • Experience in conventions and trade shows is preferred.
