Job Summary
The Registered Nurse Team Leader Surgical Services Full Time Rotating is responsible for providing high-quality, safe, and cost-effective nursing care to all patients. This role assumes overall coordination and integration of patient care based on the needs of the patient and family members.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinates and directs the multidisciplinary activities of technical staff during robotics/minimally invasive surgical procedures to provide the highest standard of care for patients undergoing surgery.
- Functions as a circulating nurse, performing nursing techniques for the comfort and well-being of patients.
- Utilizes the nursing process to formulate a plan of care and complies with the mission and policies of the hospital.
- Assists anesthesiologists and surgeons as necessary.
- Collaborates with other disciplines to facilitate care.
- Responsible for the ordering and accountability for robotics/minimally invasive surgical procedures.
- Considered a resource for other OR nurses in the specific specialty.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
- Two (2) years OR experience working with robotics/minimally invasive surgical procedures.
- Current Florida RN License.
- American Heart Association BLS Required.
- ACLS/PALS recommended.
- Demonstrates yearly competencies specific to unit.
- Understanding of AORN standards of practice.
- Ability to take call.
- CNOR recommended.
