Job Title: Product Quality Specialist

The Product Quality Specialist provides quality support and leadership for all new and existing products and processes in the manufacturing plant. Coordinates with internal teams to provide timely and accurate answers for customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leads development and refinement of product-specific quality systems to ensure compliance with customer standards.
  • Operates PC-based software programs, including Microsoft Office tools, data analysis software, and specialized manufacturing software.
  • Supports product launches, Engineering changes, and improvement initiatives at customer locations and ensures quality systems are updated accordingly.
  • Assists in training new quality employees in all aspects of quality inspections and document training with education and Training sign-in sheets.
  • Monitors production floor activities to ensure products meet customer specifications and inspection activities align with control plan requirements.
  • Liaises with suppliers to resolve quality issues and ensures compliance with supplier quality standards.
  • Conducts internal audits to ensure adherence to IATF 16949 requirements.
  • Supports plant floor inspections and Dock Audits.
  • Develops and implements preventive actions for production processes.
Requirements:
  • Prior experience in a quality management role within the automotive or die-casting industry is highly desirable.
  • Working knowledge of ISO/TS16949 IATF standard and Six Sigma concepts.
  • Proficient in Core Quality Tools - APQP, PPAP, MSA, FMEA & SPC.
  • Problem-solving tools such as 8D, Is - Is not, Cause and Effect, etc.
  • Data collection and statistical analysis skills; Minitab preferred.
  • Must have basic math and statistics understanding.
Estimated Salary:$80,000 - $120,000 per annum

Bachelor's degree in a technical area such as Operations Management, Manufacturing Management, Materials/Supply Chain, Engineering, etc.

At least five years of experience in a Quality role performing responsibilities similar to those listed above.

Experienced in quality system and process audits and has prior hands-on experience with testing equipment including depth gage, calipers, micrometer, tape measure, product gauges, and CMM.
