Quality Control Specialist

The Quality Control Specialist role at Ocenco Incorporated is a crucial position that provides direct quality support to manufacturing and supply chain operations. This includes document review, inspection, and testing activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Visual Inspection and Testing: Performs routine visual inspections and tests on raw materials, goods in process, and finished products using approved methods and procedures.
- Raw Material Evaluation: Tests, inspects, and approves raw materials based on established quality specifications.
- Fault Identification: Uses observation and testing to identify faults in materials and the manufacturing process.
- Statistical Analysis: Uses statistical methods to test product samples to evaluate the quality of full product batches prior to delivery to clients or customers.
- Quality Reporting: Compares results of inspections and tests to company quality standards; reports results to supervisors for final analysis and action steps.
- Documentation: Develops, maintains, and posts logs, charts, and forms detailing quality levels, inspection data, and results of special quality studies for review by supervisors and other production staff.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Attention to Detail: Thorough attention to detail is essential for this role.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
- Technical Knowledge: Ability to read and comprehend work instructions, as well as interpret mechanical drawings.
- Measuring Instruments: Ability to use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, pin gages, and other common measurement tools.
- Software Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software as needed to complete reports.
Physical Demands:
- Prolonged Standing and Sitting: Prolonged periods of standing, sitting at a desk, and working on a computer.
- Lifting Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Estimated Salary Range:$45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
