Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments to identify the needs of children and families.
  • Provide crisis intervention and supportive counseling to help individuals cope with challenging situations.
  • Develop and implement effective plans to address the needs of children and families, including referrals to outside agencies when necessary.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and support.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports to track progress and outcomes.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Current licensure as a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) in the state of Texas.
  • Previous experience working in a hospital setting, preferably in a pediatric or emergency department.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with children and families from diverse backgrounds.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers, obtained within 30 days of employment.
