About the Role

This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned professional passionate about leading complex and large-scale structural projects from concept to completion. As a Structural Engineering Project Manager, you will be responsible for guiding projects through all phases, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery. Your leadership, technical expertise, and client-focused approach will drive success at every stage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Management: Plan, design, budget, schedule, and oversee all project phases to ensure successful delivery.
  • Technical Leadership: Review and approve detailed structural designs, calculations, and specifications to ensure alignment with codes, regulations, and best practices.
  • Client Relationships: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, fostering strong partnerships and ensuring satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Cross-Discipline Collaboration: Work closely with architects, contractors, and engineering teams to integrate structural systems seamlessly with broader design elements.
  • Mentorship: Support and mentor junior engineers, fostering their professional growth and creating a collaborative work environment.
  • Risk Management: Stay on top of building codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations to mitigate risks and deliver safe, compliant designs.
  • Innovation: Bring fresh ideas and integrate emerging technologies to enhance project outcomes and improve client experiences.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering; Master's degree preferred.
  • At least six years of experience in structural engineering, with a focus on project management and complex structures.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required; SE license highly desired.
  • Strong proficiency in structural analysis and design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, ETABS, SAP2000).
  • Proven experience in project management, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • In-depth knowledge of structural engineering principles, materials, and mechanics.
  • Excellent understanding of building codes, standards, and construction practices.
  • Exceptional client management skills with a history of successful client relations and business development.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring abilities, with experience managing project teams and fostering professional development.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare and present technical reports.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized, with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is $120,000 - $160,000, based on experience, education, and skills. KPFF also offers performance-based bonuses to recognize outstanding contributions.
