The estimated salary for this position is $168,500 - $193,000 per year, based on location in California.

About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Structural Project Manager to lead engineering teams on large projects. As a key member of our Bridges Team, you will be responsible for preparing designs, ensuring project success, and collaborating with colleagues to achieve our goals.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Project Management: Manage multiple concurrent projects from initiation to delivery, including client relationships, project scope, and resource allocation.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor engineers, providing guidance, support, and constructive feedback to ensure team success.
  • Design and Review: Lead the preparation and coordination of project specifications, construction documents, and technical reports.
  • Client Liaison: Communicate effectively with clients, agencies, and stakeholders to understand project requirements, resolve issues, and ensure satisfaction.
  • Financial Management: Monitor project budgets, track expenses, and optimize financial performance using PM dashboard access.
  • Technical Expertise: Stay up-to-date with regulatory changes, industry developments, and best practices, applying your knowledge to complex projects.
  • Collaboration: Participate in project team settings, engage in creative and critical thinking, and communicate ideas, design issues, and solutions effectively.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Project Management: Efficiently manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Leadership: Lead teams through all phases of project document production, ensuring quality, accuracy, and timeliness.
  • Technical Expertise: Possess a deep understanding of structural design methods, codes, and regulations, as well as proficiency in AutoCAD and relevant design software.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.
  • Time Management: Prioritize tasks, manage time, and balance competing demands to meet project budget and schedule requirements.
