Position Summary
The Lead Behavioral Therapist plays a crucial role in overseeing a team of behavior therapists while managing a caseload of 4-6 clients. This position is pivotal in delivering individualized therapy services grounded in the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). The Lead Behavioral Therapist is expected to uphold the highest standards of service delivery, ensuring that their team adheres to treatment protocols and maintains the integrity of therapeutic practices.
Qualifications and Educational Background
- Availability for a full-time schedule from 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday, with flexibility considered on a case-by-case basis.
- Certification as an EIDBI Level 1 or Level 2 provider.
Level 1 Requirements:
- Enrollment in a graduate program within a mental health discipline or possession of a master’s degree in a relevant field.
- A minimum of 2,000 hours of clinical experience or training.
Level 2 Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree in behavioral or child development sciences or a related field, along with one of the following: 1,000 hours of clinical experience, completion of approved graduate coursework, or certification as a BCaBA or RBT.
- Enrollment in a bachelor’s degree program in behavioral or child development sciences, with a commitment to completing 1,000 hours of supervised experience.
- A total of 4,000 hours of supervised clinical experience.
Key Responsibilities
Client-Centered Therapy
- Manage a caseload of 4-6 clients, providing direct 1:1 and 2:1 therapy sessions utilizing ABA techniques.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans aimed at enhancing clients' interactions within their environments.
- Utilize effective behavior management strategies, both proactive and reactive, in accordance with clients' behavior plans.
- Collaborate with team members to track client progress and adjust treatment goals as necessary.
- Ensure timely and accurate documentation using CentralReach, maintaining a high standard of quality.
- Incorporate feedback from supervisors to improve therapy delivery and client outcomes.
- Engage in Family Caregiver Training and Counseling as required.
Supervision and Oversight
- Provide direct supervision and constructive feedback to behavior therapists, utilizing both objective and subjective evaluation methods.
- Assist team members with clinical inquiries and the application of ABA methodologies.
- Conduct observations during individual or group sessions to evaluate skill application and adherence to procedures.
- Maintain client materials and oversee the completion of daily tasks.
- Participate in interdisciplinary collaboration, client intake processes, and ongoing assessments.
- Ensure compliance with medication policies and procedures.
- Issue disciplinary warnings when necessary for safety or policy breaches.
General Duties
- Deliver direct services for 80% of scheduled hours.
- Exhibit professionalism and ethical conduct in all interactions.

- Adhere to ethical standards set by supervising professionals (LPCC, BCBA, LICSW, etc.).
- Demonstrate effective time management and flexibility to meet the needs of clients, families, and the organization.
- Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and community outreach initiatives regularly.
- Follow established company policies and procedures, including those related to operational protocols.
- Complete additional responsibilities as assigned by supervisors.
- This role requires physical activity, including standing, bending, lifting, and assisting clients as needed.
