Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular inspections of facility systems and develop schedules for maintenance and upgrades.
- Oversee facility improvement projects, including soliciting bids and supervising contractor work.
- Assess and prioritize urgent maintenance requests for various locations.
- Perform basic carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical work, and other maintenance tasks as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all preventative maintenance protocols, including HVAC and safety inspections.
- Coordinate and facilitate maintenance inspections, recommending necessary preventative measures.
- Monitor the performance of external vendors for landscaping and snow removal services.
- Provide custodial and maintenance support as required.
- Supervise custodial and maintenance personnel.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as required.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a similar role is essential.
- 2-4 years of supervisory experience is preferred.
- Proficiency in light carpentry, plumbing, painting, electrical work, and HVAC monitoring is crucial.
- Ability to operate maintenance equipment such as plow trucks and lawn mowers.
- Strong verbal communication skills are necessary.
- Commitment to safety and compliance.
- Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds with assistance.
- Ability to climb stairs and ladders as needed.
- Capacity to stand or sit for extended periods.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including pushing, pulling, stretching, and bending.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
