Field Service Technician

OME Inc. is seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of skilled mechanical work to produce quality products in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform skilled repetitive mechanical assembly operations in support of production projects.
- Assemble, modify, rework, and/or reassemble production components utilizing drawings, process documentation, and/or verbal instructions.
- Prepare and utilize basic hand tools and machines, including power screwdrivers, rulers, solder irons, clamp machines, heat guns, vises, solder pots, crimpers, pinning machines, and automatic wire strippers.
- Identify wires using basic color code sequences.
- Participate in first-time production runs of new products.
- Support cycle count activity, inventory handling, and inventory transactions following established material procedures.
- Participate in continuous improvement and team-building activities; maintain productive working relationships with all team members.
- Possess and maintain thorough knowledge of industry, machinery, and techniques.
- Possess and maintain thorough knowledge of all applicable safety regulations and considerations.
- Assist with creation of work instructions and bills of material as needed.
- Complete all required paperwork; prepare required reports and correspondence.
- Perform clean-up, bend organization, and tool inventory activities.
Requirements:
- One to two years related experience or equivalent.
- Excellent manual dexterity and hand/eye coordination.
- Ability to identify colors.
- Ability to read and understand work instructions and assembly drawings.
- Familiarity with various mechanical and electrical measuring equipment.
