The salary for adjunct instructors begins at $86.85 per standard hour, plus an office hour differential of $20.32 per hour for classroom assignments. Applicants with a doctoral degree are eligible for a doctoral differential.
We are seeking dynamic and motivated candidates to join our team as Communications Instructors. Your primary responsibility will be to deliver high-quality education to students, promoting engaging and inclusive learning environments that support student growth and development.
To succeed in this role, you must possess excellent communication skills, cultural responsiveness, and the ability to collaborate with colleagues from diverse backgrounds. A Master's degree in speech, speech broadcasting, telecommunications, rhetoric, communication, communication studies, or organizational communication is required. Alternatively, you can hold a Bachelor's degree in one of these fields along with a Master's degree in drama/theater arts, mass communication, or English.
A sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students is essential. Pursuant to LACCD Board of Trustees' Policy 2900, all employees must be fully vaccinated or have an approved exemption. Newly hired employees will be required to provide their vaccination status prior to starting their position.
