Law Professor

The Los Angeles Community College District, the largest community college district in the United States, is seeking dynamic and motivated part-time Law Instructors for the 2024-2025 Academic School Year. As a key member of our faculty team, you will play a vital role in educating and engaging our diverse student population.

Our district comprises nine colleges serving over 40 cities in Southern California, spanning a service area of 882 square miles. We offer instruction to approximately 225,000 students annually, providing a wide range of programs in general, career-technical, and transfer education. Our mission is to contribute significantly to the economic and social well-being of our students, the regional economy, and the greater Los Angeles area.

We offer a competitive salary schedule for adjunct instructors, with hourly rates starting at $85.09, plus an office hour differential of $19.91 per hour for classroom assignments. Applicants with a doctoral degree are eligible for a doctoral differential. Additionally, our benefits package includes opportunities for professional growth and development.

As a part-time Law Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching a range of courses within the Law discipline, promoting engaging and inclusive educational environments that support student learning. You will work collaboratively with students, staff, faculty, and administrators, demonstrating a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

• JD or LL.B degree from an accredited institution
• Sensitivity to and understanding of diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds
