About the Role

At Fairview Health Services, we are committed to delivering exceptional healthcare in a setting where we specialize in innovation. As an Anesthesia Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in the anesthesia team by assisting the Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA), anesthesiologist, and anesthesia resident with care of the patient receiving general or regional anesthesia.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a safe and efficient environment in the operating room, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available for patient care.
  • Assist with the preparation and maintenance of anesthesia equipment, supplies, and medications.
  • Transport blood specimens and blood products between the operating room and laboratory.
  • Collaborate with the anesthesia team to ensure seamless patient care and efficient workflow.

Requirements

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team while completing individual responsibilities.
  • Strong prioritization and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
  • Ability to lift 30 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in anesthesia or a related field.
