As a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) at Allina Health, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing high-quality anesthesia care to patients undergoing various medical procedures.Key Responsibilities

  • Provide anesthesia care to patients undergoing surgical procedures, including general, regional, local, and sedation anesthesia.
  • Perform pre-anesthesia assessments and evaluations, reviewing orders and obtaining informed consent.
  • Manage airway and cardiopulmonary status to maintain satisfactory physiologic conditions.
  • Facilitate emergence and recovery from anesthesia by administering medications, fluids, and airway support.
  • Discharge patients, providing a summary of patient history and surgical events.
  • Supply peri-anesthetic and clinical support to other patient care areas.
  • Insert peripheral and arterial catheters, perform arterial punctures to obtain blood samples, and initiate or participate in CPR.
  • Collaborate with the department team to achieve desired patient/unit outcomes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Master's degree graduate of a Nurse Anesthetist program.
  • 2+ years of experience working as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist.
Licenses/Certifications
  • Licensed Registered Nurse - MN Board of Nursing.
  • Registered Nurse Anesthetist - MN Board of Nursing.
  • ACLS/BLS Tier 2-Advanced Cardiac Life Support - Multisource.
  • PALS - Pediatric Advance Life Support - Multisource.
Physical Demands
  • Medium Work: Lifting weight up to 32 lbs. occasionally, up to 25 lbs. frequently.
