Job Summary

The Clinical Dietetic Technician is a vital member of our healthcare team, responsible for providing high-quality nutrition care to our patients. As a Clinical Dietetic Technician, you will work closely with our registered dietitians and other healthcare professionals to screen patients, collect nutritionally relevant data, and develop personalized nutrition plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Screen patients and collect nutritionally relevant data, including diagnoses, medications, clinical symptoms, laboratory values, dietary history, and anthropometrics.
  • Record patient information regarding allergies, meal preferences, and enter this information into our electronic medical record system.
  • Assist in completing test trays, including testing temperature and taste, and may assist in conducting meal rounds.
  • Work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive nutrition care and support.
  • Provide general nutrition education to the general healthy population and assist in quality improvement activities.
Requirements
  • Completion of an associate's or higher degree program in Dietetic Technology, Dietetics, or a related field of study accredited by ACEND.
  • One year of clinical experience in dietetics and possession of an active Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) certification.
  • Knowledge of nutrition screening process, ability to work collaboratively with patients and coworkers, and knowledge of food service operations.
Preferred Experience

Two years of clinical nutrition or food service related experience.
