We are currently seeking a Lead Radar Systems Specialist to enhance our operations related to advanced radar systems. In this capacity, you will conduct engineering evaluations to diagnose and resolve radar system discrepancies, including but not limited to REX, BSG, and Antenna/Sub-Array/TRIMMs.
Your responsibilities will include generating regular updates on engineering tasks and maintaining a comprehensive radar performance log that encompasses operational runs, satellite tracking, IMU data, and necessary radar calibrations. This documentation will be submitted for performance oversight and analytical review.
This position entails a rotational deployment model, requiring 12 weeks of on-site engagement followed by 6 weeks of leave, with additional financial incentives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert technical assistance for radar system challenges and troubleshooting as directed by key team members.
- Support the establishment of RF Hazard / Keep-Out Zones (KOZs) and the development of unique site radiation protocols.
- Adhere to all quality assurance and Automated Logistics Control System (ALCS) reporting standards to ensure timely and accurate data submission.
- Monitor the operational status of radar systems and execute radar missions effectively.
- Oversee the implementation of Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and conduct regression testing as necessary.
- Design and execute mission tests while developing new operational profiles through meticulous planning.
- Provide engineering support for Configuration Management (CM) concerning both hardware and software.
- Establish data collection, reduction, and analysis protocols for radar systems.
- Assist in the formation of RF Hazard / Keep-Out Zones (KOZs).
- Review and enhance the technical content of operational manuals and maintenance programs.
- Communicate effectively with end-users regarding radar health and coordinate maintenance and calibration requests.
Qualifications Required:
- A Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) along with a minimum of 5 years of relevant engineering experience.
- Possession of an active CompTIA Security+ Certification or the ability to obtain it within 60 days.
- Experience with radar systems and proficiency in UNIX and/or MATLAB.
- Familiarity with software and systems integration planning and execution.
- A valid and transferable U.S. government-issued Secret security clearance is mandatory prior to commencement.
- U.S. citizenship is required for security clearance eligibility.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in a STEM field.
- Experience with Department of Defense or Missile Defense initiatives.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office and UNIX applications.
- Possession of a current passport.
