Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Resident Care Specialist to join our team at Navion Senior Solutions. As a Medication Technicians, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality medication administration and resident care oversight in our Assisted Living and Memory Care Community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build Positive Relationships: Develop and maintain a positive working relationship with residents, family members, and staff.
  • Resident Advocacy: Promote and protect residents' rights, treating them with dignity and respect.
  • Continuing Education: Attend in-service and education programs, obtaining continuing education required by state regulations.
  • Stress Management: Demonstrate the ability to remain calm under stressful conditions.
  • Confidentiality: Maintain confidentiality of residents' information in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
  • Professional Appearance: Maintain a professional appearance by adhering to community dress code.
  • Documentation: Complete documentation in an informative and descriptive manner.
  • Communication: Report all changes in a resident's condition as soon as possible to the supervisor.
  • Work Schedules: Complete work schedules and assigned tasks in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate equipment in a safe manner, utilizing only equipment previously trained on.
  • Infection Control: Utilize infection control precautions and practices with all activities.
  • Emergency Procedures: Demonstrate knowledge of fire and emergency procedures, reporting all safety violations.
Requirements
  • Education: High School diploma or GED.
  • Age: Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Certification: Successful completion of a State Approved Medication Aide course & test.
  • Experience: Personal Care Assistant or ever been a Certified Nursing Assistant.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to express self adequately in written and oral communication, and to communicate effectively in an interdisciplinary care setting.
  • Work Environment: Ability to work in an environment conducive to caring for seniors without posing a substantial safety or health threat to self or others.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work well with others and promote a team environment.
