Position Summary

At Whitefield Academy Preschool, we are seeking dedicated individuals to support our afterschool program. We are looking for candidates who are committed to working in a Christian environment, providing exceptional care and guidance to our students.

Whitefield Academy aims to serve Christian families by delivering a Christ-centered, Biblically-based education characterized by academic excellence and spiritual growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Extended Care Coordinator with daily operations of the program, including preparation before sessions and cleanup afterward.
  • Supervise a classroom environment, ensuring the well-being and safety of children while facilitating various activities and adhering to lesson plans.
  • Engage positively and professionally with children and fellow staff members.
  • Demonstrate effective multitasking abilities.
  • Participate in 15 hours of after-hours training to maintain compliance with state regulations, applying learned skills in the classroom.
  • Familiarize yourself with the structure and objectives of the afterschool care program.
  • Complete necessary daily documentation, including attendance and incident reports.
  • Availability to work from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

Qualifications

  • Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Able to stand and engage with children for the majority of the workday.
  • Capable of navigating stairs.
  • Able to lift up to 35 pounds when necessary.
  • Regular church attendance and ability to share a personal testimony when requested.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification in CPR and First Aid.
  • Current Tuberculosis (TB) test.
  • Prior experience in a similar role.
