Job Summary:

The Guthrie Clinic is seeking a skilled CT Scan Technologist to join our team in a full-time evening shift position. As a CT Scan Technologist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of technical procedures, including the control of ionizing radiation-producing equipment for radiological diagnosis.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform CT procedures, including initiating the scanning procedure at the proper anatomical level, checking prescription and patient identification, and explaining the procedure to the patient.
  • Prepare room and equipment according to anatomical area to be scanned, select correct computer protocol, and initiate scan.
  • Perform patient care in the CT area, including transferring patients safely to the scanner couch, immobilizing and centering patients, and preparing medium and patients for intravenous injection of contrast material.
  • Monitor scanner systems for program errors, correct same, or notify repair facility.
  • Prepare appropriate images and other material to be sent to referring physicians.

Requirements:

  • Associates degree with additional skills training (certification).
  • ARRT(R) Certification required; Advanced certification (ARRT)(CT) preferred.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in CT and/or other subspecialty area.
