Multidisciplinary Autism Educator

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated educator to join our team as a Multidisciplinary Autism Educator. This role will involve working with students with autism and other exceptionalities, providing individualized support and instruction to help them reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities- Administer medication to students as needed, in accordance with state law and school policy
- Develop and implement behavior modification plans, utilizing evidence-based strategies and techniques
- Collaborate with other professionals to facilitate the integration of exceptional students into the least restrictive environment
- Team teach with other Special Education teachers and regular education staff during inclusion
- Implement educational strategies, alternative curricula, and individualized instructional techniques
- Develop knowledge and understanding of the causes and effects of disabilities on educational practices
- Work with medically fragile and orthopedically impaired children as needed
- Lift a minimum of 100 pounds vertically, as required
- Work with adaptive equipment and prosthetic devices, as necessary
- Follow and implement procedures described in health care plans
- Complete specialized training, including CPR, First Aid, and Physical Intervention and Support Training
- Implement specified special education curricula at the required programmatic levels
- Specialized training relevant to the performance of the duties of the job, as a Microsoft Word or PDF file
- Past performance evaluations, as a single PDF document
